How to Purchase a Phone Number

Follow these steps to get your number and start using it in your campaigns and automations.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Purchase a New Phone Number in the CRM

Access Phone Number Settings

1. Log in to your CRM sub-account.

2. In the left-hand menu, click on “Settings.”

3. Within the Settings panel, select the option “Phone Numbers.”

Begin the Purchase Process

4. A new window will open, taking you to the Manage Numbers section.

5. Click the “Add Number” button.

6. In the submenu, select “Add Phone Number.”

Customize Your Number

7. In the selection window:

- Choose your country.

- Click the filter button to customize your number.

- (Optional) Enter the first three digits you want your number to start with (e.g., 321).

- In the Match to field, choose “First part of number.”

- Set any additional filters as needed.

- Click “Apply.”

8. The system will display available numbers that match your criteria.

9. Browse the list and check the price of each number.

10. Select the number you want and click “Proceed to Purchase.”

Verify Your Identity (Legally Required)

11. Before you can complete the purchase, a verification window powered by Persona will open.

- This is a legal requirement for phone number purchases in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.

12. Click “Begin verifying.”

Select Your Country

13. In the next screen:

- Click the Country field to open the list.

- Select your country of residence.

- Click “Confirm.”

Choose an ID Document

14. Select the document you want to use for identity verification.

- For example: Driver’s License

Capture the Document (Using Your Device Camera)

15. If your device has a camera:

- Click the camera icon to activate it.

- Hold your document (e.g., driver’s license) up to the camera.

Make sure that:

- The entire document fits in the frame.

- The photo is clear and well-lit.

- There are no reflections or obstructions.

16. Click “Take Photo.”

17. Repeat the step for the back of the document.

18. When done, click “Use This Photo.”

19. The system will automatically validate your ID images.

- If approved, you’ll proceed to payment.

- If not, you’ll need to repeat the step.

Alternative: Use Your Mobile Device for Photos

20. If your computer doesn't have a good camera:

- Click “Continue on another device.

- A QR code will appear — scan it with your phone’s camera.

- A link will open on your phone to continue the process there.

On your phone:

- Take the required document photos as you normally would.

Complete the Payment

21. Once your identity is verified, the system will prompt you to enter your payment method.

22. Follow the on-screen instructions — the process is quick and simple.

That’s it! Once the payment is processed, your new phone number will be automatically activated and ready to use within your CRM.
